Catch Up
This is me catching up by doing most of June in one big post! All my weeks were blending together anyway because summer is summer, but we did some very fun things here and there. We've been going for plenty of walks to get some energy out, but as it's getting warmer, we've been paying more attention to the weather to make sure we don't get too hot. Most days, we end up going to just the lunch park, and I stay in the shade and make sure they drink their milk and water if they need it! We usually get there right when they start serving food, so I have them eat first, then have plenty of time to play until we all get too hot. I encourage sprinkler time in the backyard as an energy expender because they can stay cool and have so much fun playing. We make it to the library at least once a week for new books and try to go to the play groups that happen with our friends.
Activities
Some of the few activities we've been able to do are a truck palooza at their school, a movie night put on by the library, and going to Roaring Springs! Adrian loved to get into the driver's seat of most of the big trucks and was good at listening when it was time to move on. I only took Claire and Shay to the movie and was put on at a barn, and they had a few activities before it started, like coloring animal masks and bouncy houses. We watched Zootopia 2 and made some friends who wanted to dance at the end credits. Then the big trip to Roaring Springs didn't get many pictures because of not having my phone on my while we played, but I did get a video now that Claire is tall enough for all the slides in the park! Last year, Claire was only big enough for the middle height, and this year she is exactly the cut off to be able to go, so Shay should catch up next year. Adrian was shy and didn't want to try the baby slides alone for some reason but had plenty of fun in the water in different ways.
