Company

This past week has been so great! My best friend visited me all the way from Missouri to keep me busy during the last week of Chris being away which was much needed for both of us. We were able to have some fun times with our kiddos.

Early Week

I tried really hard to be a wonderful mother and take the girls to parks every day as well as going to the gym with them once we were home alone. We did some fun time playing outside in a mini pool and found a splash pad that we didn't understand how it turned on so Claire and I just played by running around without water. I already knew how hard it was to be a single parent but to keep my house clean while trying to teach Claire words and give Shay attention too takes up all my time in a day. I don't get many minutes to myself to do much so I don't get a chance to work on our blog very often.

Claire

She is thoroughly enjoying the company we have even if she had to get used to the idea of sharing her toys with a new friend. Her boy is a sweet boy and even though he is younger than Claire, he is a little bigger and can stand up to her bullying. We've gone to two different parks so far and been able to hang out with a lot of quality time to hopefully help her get used to sharing so when Shay is old enough they can share better. There was one day that she went to our bedroom door that was closed and knocked on it to try and find Chris but since he's gone she was sad. It broke my heart and I wish we didn't have to be apart, but soon it will be over and we can be a happy family again.

Shay

My amazing little angel baby is getting so cute! She laughs so much sometimes because she loves when we laugh and make funny faces with her so she is starting to giggle with us. Chris feels like she has already changed so much in the last 3 weeks and can't wait to be home with us to hear her giggle again. We are just all wanting to be together again and then we can go back to matching and being a wonderful happy family again. Shay is getting more and more precious as she grows into the adorable girl she is and as much as I wish she would stay this way I can't wait until I know her personality and who she is going to be. I'm so happy when thinking about the future of my two daughters.

Matching

I got to match my cute girls with our jean jackets last Sunday and even though Shay spit up on my dress before church and it was impossible to get a cute picture, I was happy to match. I honestly don't look forward to when they want to pick their own outfits. My best friend made us all an outfit that we matched together with a sour patch theme! The kids' outfits said "You don't want to see my Sour side" in a sour patch shadow and ours said "You have to have the Sour to appreciate the sweet" in the same shadow. We all had the different color shirts that sour patch kids come in and the tie dye pants were the best! We wore them to go get cupcakes from a delicious place trying to match our trip in Chicago a year ago.
