Beautiful May

 Adrian

Our little man is still as cute as ever and I love getting to see him when he's happy and smiley, and it seems to be happening more often. He gets good naps most days and then has solid awake time, and is even getting an earlier bedtime somehow! I'm working on getting my house reorganized so he gets his own room and my sewing room is moving out. I switched around quite a few things actually preparing for a summer daycare and hope to have a few more kids added to the crazy for a couple months. The old workout room is becoming the guest/napping room and the room we had guests stay in is now my workout room. The open area upstairs is currently holding all of my sewing room stuff and the closets of the guest room and Adrian's room have storage and it is nowhere near how I want it permanently. I haven't done it yet, but this next week we are going to test the waters of Adrian all the way in his own room!

Claire

We traveled to Blackfoot for the weekend to see family, had a pancake breakfast hosted by the scouts with grandma, and saw the baby blessing of one of the other new babies in the family! Adrian isn't even the newest baby on Chris's side of the family and the girls are obsessed with holding and loving her just like they were when Adrian was brand new. He is old news to hold, but both Claire and Shay asked several times to hold their little cousin. She is so little and precious and I'm glad I have a sister-in-law that is better at getting pictures than I am or I wouldn't have had them. Another fun thing the girls started this week was their first gymnastics class at the rec center! They have a lot of work to do to pay attention and really understand what the coach is trying to teach, but I hope they won't always be crazy.

Shay

Being at home has its advantages for Shay, but she is still hoping to go to school as soon as possible and is starting to understand that her school doesn't start until Claire has a birthday. I've noticed I need to teach her how to behave in certain instances so I don't have to correct her at the moment in front of people. I didn't know how to explain to her that she couldn't just run around and be crazy in the gymnastics class because she distracts other people and doesn't listen as well. When we read books I always do one that I read and she has to sit quietly to listen and tell me what she remembers. I still have to tell her to stay next to me when we go shopping and I want to put a leash on her so she can't wander off anymore...It makes me wish she was in school already and I could go shopping with just me and Adrian because he doesn't ask for everything he sees! Yet...

Buttercup

We added another family member! Our new puppy, who turned 8 weeks on Tuesday, was ready to be picked up and introduced to her new home on Thursday. Shay came with me and was so sweet at trying to make her feel comfortable in her new home by cuddling her when she was in the crate. We had been shopping to get all the things we needed for Princess Buttercup before she came home and then we spent the weekend getting her used to traveling in a car by visiting family! the first night she was in her crate, after napping all day it didn't go too bad with her whining because I would sit next to her and calm her down. When we were traveling she slept in the bed with Chris and me even though the girls wanted her to be with them. She still needs to be taken out to go the bathroom too often and Adrian wakes me up anyway so I'm in charge of that. I'm excited to train her play with her and make her life happy!
