His movement has exponentially increased this week and he is all over the place! I also have fun communicating with him; we play 'shake' with our heads, he claps, he signs milk when he is hungry, and playing is so fun. Chris was gone all weekend and I made him suffer by sending videos of how cute he is, even though he got a little sick and has a runny nose now. If I lay or sit on the floor with him he constantly attacks me so I'm helping him practice pulling himself up by sitting on chairs and couchs. As much as I love to hear his giggles and smiles I miss his newborn stage and wish he would cuddle more. He is eating more normal food and already weaning down to short feedings.
Shay
I am so glad she is excelling in school! They had a spelling bee this last week and Shay came in the top 3 in her class then when all the kindergarten finalists got together she was runner-up and only tripped up when they started doing the first-grade words. When we were practicing the page at home, she was doing so great and I wish we could have gone over the first-grade words more, but she was very proud to get a certificate. It's now on our fridge for display and we used her techniques to help Claire practice her spelling now. She is also so much better at reading than Claire was back in her kindergarten class, it was torture to get her to read with me back in Utah. I remember having to bribe her with candy! I also found some pictures from her Christmas on the account that her teacher uploads things to you can enjoy!
Claire
I can see she is catching up with her math skills now that I'm having her do a page every day, I think it mostly has to do with how well she is focusing when she is working. We are almost done with her first Chapter book and since we started practicing quiet reading time because Shay's teacher sent home a homework page to increase stamina for quiet reading, I hope she keeps getting better. We picked out all the books that I knew they could read on their own because they knew the story or could read 90% of the words. Then they sit in our black and white chairs and read until they are bored of the books and eventually, they should get to 30 minutes of being able to just sit and read. I also found a video from Christmas time on Shay's website that got both of my girls!
