Adrian
He got sick this weekend, so he was extra cuddly and needy, always wanting me to stay on the couch with him. Being needed is both good and bad, depending on whether I have projects or chores to get done. Now that I work out when he is sleeping, I get his help with chores around the house. He loves the vacuum, of course, but cleaning bathrooms and organizing areas are more challenging to accept his help with. The girls played a fun game with him on Saturday, and he was happy to sit in his nest while watching a movie. One of my projects was hiding 2/3rds of the toys in totes so we can have less crazy downstairs, and we are going to cycle them in monthly.
School and Play
There was a spelling bee at school this week, but it was more of a practice for the younger grades, and each class did its own. They kept getting distracted, so we didn't get around to practicing at home. We do our 30 mins of reading every night, but Adrian also likes their attention, so they play with him. It is very helpful because I can cook dinner, but then they want to play with daddy after dinner, and I like that they want to spend time with family, so I don't push extra homework. Their games also usually make a mess, and they have to take time to clean it up before bed, so our extracurricular activities are lacking!
